US: Wall St opens lower as tech stocks drag, oil falls

[NEW YORK] US stocks opened lower on Monday as technology stocks continued to drag and oil prices fell, amid fears of a global economic slowdown deepening.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 103.48 points, or 0.64 per cent, at 16,101.49, the S&P 500 was down 16.95 points, or 0.9 per cent, at 1,863.1 and the Nasdaq Composite index was down 72.90 points, or 1.67 per cent, at 4,290.24.
