Video of French father and son on Paris attacks touches netizens' hearts
IN the wake of the Paris attacks that took 129 lives on November 13, a video interview by French media outlet Le Petit Journal of a father and son discussing the event has touched the hearts of many across the web.
In the video, the journalist asked the child if he understood why the Paris attacks happened, to which the boy responded: "Yes, because they're really, really mean."
He went on to add that their family would have to "change houses", but his father assured him they would not have to because "France is our home".
When the boy protested: “They have guns, they can shoot us because they’re really really mean daddy," his father replied: “It’s ok, they might have guns but we have flowers.”
The original video has garnered nearly 14 million views, while an upload with english subtitles by Jerome Isaac Rousseau has received more than 24 million views.
