China Sept services trade deficit US$22.7b: FX regulator
[BEIJING] China's trade deficit in services narrowed to US$22.7 billion in September compared with US$22.8 billion in August, the foreign exchange regulator said on Friday.
For the January to September period, China had a services trade deficit of US$158.2 billion, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) said in a statement.
September's deficit, as in previous months, was led by a US$20 billion gulf in tourist spending, according to SAFE data, as Chinese travelling the world spend more than foreigners do in China.
China had a US$54.4 billion surplus on trade of goods in September, the same statement said.
