Hong Kong, China: Stocks open up as Fed holds rates
[HONG KONG] Shares in Hong Kong rose 0.10 per cent soon after opening Friday, in line with a broad regional advance after the US Federal Reserve held off raising interest rates.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong rose 21.50 points to 21,876.13 in the first few minutes.
And in Shanghai the composite index gained 0.46 per cent, or 14.22 points, to 3,100.28.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.60 per cent, or 9.91 points, to 1,668.33.
