US consumers spent 0.4% less on health care in first quarter
[WASHINGTON] American consumers spent 0.4 per cent less on health care in the first quarter, a Commerce Department report showed Wednesday.
The figures are not adjusted for inflation or seasonal variations. The Bureau of Economic Analysis will use the results of the Quarterly Services Survey, which offers a comprehensive breakdown of household purchases, to revise gross domestic product data for the first three months of the year. That report is due on June 24.
