Twitter to more than double Asia-Pac HQ staff over next few years

By
TWITTER plans to add more than 100 jobs over the next few years to its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore, which it officially opened on Thursday morning.
The social media platform has had an office here since 2013, but outgrew the serviced office it occupied in less than two years. During that time, its Singapore-based team grew to 80.
Its new regional headquarters at CapitaGreen Building will accommodate Twitter's plans to grow its talent base here. These jobs will include technical staff such as data analytics professionals, engineers and product specialists.
This manpower boost will go towards meeting growing demand from users, partners and advertisers across the Asia-Pacific.
"The Asia-Pacific region is already one of the largest and fastest growing regions for Twitter today, and there still is enormous potential to show people, partners and advertisers the value of our platform, from Japan to India to Australia," said Twitter vice-president of Asia-Pacific, Americas and emerging markets, Shailesh Rao, in a press release.
"We're capitalising on this growth in 2015 by making strategic investments across the region - from opening new offices and aggressively hiring staff, to acquiring companies and building local product experiences."
