China central bank to let banks in offshore yuan business do onshore repos
[BEIJING] Banks participating in offshore yuan business, including offshore yuan clearing banks, will be permitted to participate in bond repurchase agreement business in China's interbank bond market, the central bank said on Wednesday.
The banks will be able to use funds obtained through such business in their offshore yuan operations, the People's Bank of China said in a statement on its website.
