Banyan Tree to help Vietnam resort pick operator for proposed gaming facilities

Banyan Tree to help Vietnam resort pick operator for proposed gaming facilities

A BANYAN Tree subsidiary will be helping Laguna Lãng Cô, the operator of the luxury resort located north of Da Nang, identify companies that can operate its proposed gaming facilities.
Banyan Tree Capital (BTC) will oversee the Request for Concepts process and has named Global Market Advisors as strategic procurement advisers.
A website portal (www.lcmp-rfc.com) has been launched to allow private companies and investors to submit their concepts.
BTC managing director Steve Small said: "We are seeking facilities and strategies that are focused on attracting foreign tourists from greater Asia, with a particular focus on inbound tourists from China and greater Asia.

"The master plan currently under consideration is to be awarded a gaming licence and we believe that experienced operators will be interested in the potential of integrated entertainment facilities and support the government's aim to boost Vietnam's tourism competitiveness."
Opened in April 2013, Laguna Lãng Cô offers luxury hotel rooms, villas, meeting facilities, retail outlets, and venues for live shows. The resort is a three-hour flight from China, Vietnam's major source of gaming revenue.
