Singapore first to launch Credit Suisse's digital private banking platform for Asia Pacific
SINGAPORE is the first location to launch Credit Suisse's global digital private banking platform for its Asia-Pacific clients.
The new initiative will help the lender provide digital wealth management services to its current and next generation of clients, while creating a new private banking service delivery model, the bank said on Wednesday.
Previously, Credit Suisse said it would make significant investments in expanding its client-facing technology globally to enhance clients' access to portfolio analytics, research and market data, collaboration and transaction services, starting in Asia-Pacific.
Wednesday's launch marked the first milestone in this commitment with the rollout of the Credit Suisse Private Banking Asia Pacific app.
The app allows clients round-the-clock access and supports them with trading tools so they can respond to moving markets.
The app will first be available on iPad before being extended to other devices including the iPhone, Web browsers and devices operating on Google Android.
Credit Suisse added that it will roll out its digital private banking platform in other regions, including the United States, Switzerland and Europe, this year and next.
The digital private banking solution was developed in Singapore where the lender's largest private banking operations outside Switzerland are based. The Republic is also the bank's largest hub in the region.
